Alex Beaulieu-Marchand

Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, born March 3, 1994, in Quebec City, is a celebrated Canadian freestyle skier specializing in slopestyle and big air. Starting ski at age two in a skiing family, he gravitated toward slopestyle by age 12, influenced by friends and fueled by early passion. He made his World Cup debut in 2012, finishing a remarkable 4th in Ushuaia, Argentina, and by January 2013, achieved a podium with bronze in Copper Mountain. His Olympic debut came at Sochi 2014, where he finished 12th in slopestyle. He reached the pinnacle of his career at PyeongChang 2018, earning a bronze medal in slopestyle—Canada’s first in the event. ABM’s freestyle credentials also shine through X Games and World Championship performances. He won bronze at X Games Aspen 2017 (slopestyle), and 2019 was a breakout year: silver in both slopestyle and big air at Aspen, bronze in big air at World Championships in Park City, plus Real Ski bronze—competing consistently among the elite. His World Cup record includes multiple podiums and notable rankings (4th overall in slopestyle in 2013). After battling injuries, he evolved into a creative freeride and film-minded athlete, releasing artistic projects like the short film MIRAGE in 2024 showcasing his unique style and vision in backcountry terrain.
