Sammy Carlson kept the large jump in the Windell's lane at Mount Hood operational for an additional two weeks during August 2012. During this extended session, Reed Lewis performed technical rotations and various grabs over the oversized kicker. High-altitude glacier laps provided the necessary terrain for consistent freestyle training late into the summer. On the softening summer snow, each hit featured clean rotations and precise landings. Local athletes landed complex maneuvers on the manicured feature with controlled airtime.
