Skylar Suman
Active: 2022-present | Known for: 2026 Master Shredder title and Midwest rail skiing | Disciplines: rail skiing, slopestyle, park skiing
Skylar Suman is an American freestyle skier closely connected to the Midwest park scene. One of his earliest documented appearances came in Sorta Winter 2022 Long Cut, filmed mostly at Boyne Mountain. Suman appeared alongside Bryce Suman, Quinn Noyes, Wyatt Dorman, Phoenix Heiny, Caleb Godwin, Jack Herzog and other Michigan-based riders, placing him inside the region's rail and park culture several winters before his strongest competition result.
That scene remained central to his skiing through 2024. Suman appeared in SORTA SPRING VIDEO 2024 and later submitted an individual edit to the D-Structure x Harlaut Music contest, where InspiredMedia identified him as a skier from the United States. Both projects reinforced a street- and rail-oriented profile rather than a career centred entirely on federation competition.
In March 2026, Suman won Master Shredder at Trollhaugen, a long-running Midwest rail jam built around a bracket format and peer judging. He later competed at Copper Mountain in the 2026 USASA National Championships, finishing 38th in the men's Freeski Open Class slopestyle while representing the Great Lakes Series. His current record therefore combines grassroots rail events, crew filming and formal national-level USASA competition.
