Spring snow covered Mammoth in April 2022 when Liam Baxter arrived at the SuperUnknown XIX finals as the men's wildcard winner. Level 1 had built a park combining rails, jumps and a powder feature after a storm left twelve inches of heavy Sierra snow across the setup. Baxter spent the week moving between those features with fifteen other finalists, marking a visible shift from the halfpipe competition record that had introduced him internationally several winters earlier.
Baxter's FIS profile identifies him as an American skier born in 2002. At Copper Mountain in December 2018, he finished 24th in a World Cup halfpipe won by Aaron Blunck ahead of Miguel Porteous and David Wise. He continued through Nor-Am competition, placing 18th and 31st in two Copper Mountain halfpipe events in December 2019. Those starts established a formal contest career before street skiing became the stronger part of his public profile.
At the 2019 Junior World Championships in Leysin, Baxter finished 13th in men's halfpipe. Connor Ladd won the event ahead of Hunter Carey and Aaron Durlester. The result sits inside a period when Baxter was still competing almost entirely in transition and pipe events, with his FIS points concentrated in halfpipe rather than slopestyle. His official record later became inactive, but no retirement announcement has been found.
Level 1 selected Baxter as the men's wildcard winner for SuperUnknown XIX after a public vote. He joined the finals at Mammoth alongside Sam Lobinsky, Camden Williams, Mathieu Dufresne, William Kalfoss and other emerging skiers. The recap edits show Baxter working through rails, jib features and the main jump line, placing him firmly inside the creative park scene rather than the judged halfpipe format that defined his earlier FIS years.
Daycare became Baxter's clearest full-film credit in 2023. Will Wesson and Patrick Ring created the street film for LINE Skis over roughly two winters, with Baxter appearing in a large cast that also included Reagan Wallis, Kale Cimperman, Tucker FitzSimons, Pete Koukov, Jed Waters, Taylor Lundquist and Dasha Agafonova. LINE notes that Newschoolers voted the project Ski Movie of the Year, giving Baxter a documented role in one of the better-recognized street releases of that season.
Baxter returned to street skiing in Headache, released by Hazard Network in November 2024. The film featured Jed Waters, Tito Jenkins, Pete Koukov, Baxter, Cayden Wood, Sam Zahner and friends, with additional filming by Patrick Ring and Ethan Cook. LINE Skis and Jiberish supported the project. Baxter remains a current LINE Pro Team athlete, while Daleboot lists Steamboat Springs as his hometown and Salt Lake City as his present base.
