Austen Abel - Chausce
Born: 2002 | Active: 2019-present | Known for: Nor-Am and European Cup competition | Disciplines: slopestyle, big air
Austen Abel is an American freestyle skier born in 2002 whose competition record is centred on slopestyle and big air. His FIS profile records results beginning in the 2018/19 season and continuing through 2025. An early USASA result from Keystone in February 2019 listed Abel with Windells Academy and placed him fourth in the junior men's slopestyle category.
Abel continued through the North American development circuit before reaching both Nor-Am and European Cup competition. In March 2025, he finished 19th in big air and 33rd in slopestyle at Mammoth Mountain. The following month he travelled to Corvatsch, Switzerland, where he placed 36th in European Cup Premium slopestyle and 51st in big air. These results document an international contest pathway without a World Cup start in the records found during this search.
Outside competition, Abel has appeared regularly in park edits. A 2020 season edit thanked Armada Skis and Doug's Sports, while later Mammoth clips included him alongside Campbell Burrows, Luca Harrington and Steven Kahnert. Those videos establish a sustained park presence, but they remain season and crew edits rather than qualifying film projects under the stricter filmography criteria used here.
