Mirco Ferrari

Hometown: Chamrousse, France | Born: 2000 | Active: 2018-present | Known for: Young's World, S.W.A and Bon Diez | Disciplines: slopestyle, big air

In December 2021, Mirco Ferrari joined a group of friends capturing the first footage for Bon Diez at Chamrousse before the crew travelled to Austria for the end of the winter. The setting was familiar territory: Ferrari grew up at the resort below the Belledonne mountains, first skiing alpine disciplines before concentrating on freestyle. His older sister Eleonora Ferrari followed the same path, and both became part of the Dauphiné freestyle group built around big air and slopestyle.

Chamrousse 2018: Belledonne shapes freestyle years

The Chamrousse athlete profile describes Ferrari as a native of the resort who grew up beside the pistes and the Belledonne mountains. He moved from alpine skiing toward freestyle and trained with the Dauphiné snow-sports committee. Away from winter, he used Chamrousse's skateboard park and bowl, located above 1,600 metres, while the resort's Sunset Park provided the snowpark environment associated with his skiing.

La Clusaz 2018: FIS circuit begins

Ferrari's FIS record identifies him as a French skier born in 2000 and affiliated with SC Alpe d'Huez. In January 2018 he competed in big air at Vars before two slopestyle starts at La Clusaz in March, finishing 13th in each. The same season included 11th in a La Plagne big air and French Championship starts at Font Romeu.

Chamrousse 2019: French circuit top six

On 21 February 2019, Ferrari finished sixth in a FIS slopestyle at Chamrousse. A month later he reached seventh at Val Thorens. His season also included Méribel, the French slopestyle championship at Avoriaz and the national big air championship at Les Arcs. These results remained below the thresholds used for the main competition list, but they place him consistently inside the French FIS park circuit before his first European Cup winter.

Crans-Montana 2020: European Cup season

Ferrari entered European Cup slopestyle events at Vars, Crans-Montana and La Clusaz in early 2020. His best of those three results was 37th at Vars, followed by 39th at Crans-Montana and 38th at La Clusaz. He then finished 13th in a FIS slopestyle at Alpe d'Huez on 11 March. His personal athlete page from the period also identifies Icelantic as a ski partner and describes plans centred on both competition and creating ski photos and videos.

Hugo Monmont 2020: Young's World travels

Young's World gave Ferrari a place in an international film cast during the 2019/20 winter. Hugo Monmont, Julian Caillet, Andreas Herranz and Titouan Goguillon directed the project across snowparks in Austria, Quebec, the United States and France, with additional filming in Andorra and the Netherlands. Ferrari shared the film with Matej Svancer, Jeremy Pancras, Simo Peltola, Paul Vieuxtemps, Maxence Gumuchian and other young riders.

Mediappiness 2021–22: S.W.A to Bon Diez

Ferrari stayed within Hugo Monmont's film circle for S.W.A in 2021. The Mediappiness production moved through Les Deux Alpes, Les Arcs, Leysin, Canada and street terrain, with a cast including Julian Caillet, Andreas Herranz, Maxime Vogt, Melvin Morén and Simo Peltola. In 2022, Bon Diez brought Ferrari and his sister Eleonora Ferrari into another Mediappiness crew, beginning with December footage at Chamrousse before the group continued to Austria for the end of the season.
