Maxime Vogt

Born: 1996 | Active: 2016-present | Known for: Mediappiness films S.W.A and Bon Diez, Movement's Les Frouzes | Disciplines: freestyle, park skiing

On 8 November 2024, a seven-minute ski film opened an evening screening at L'Arlequin in Paris. Les Frouzes brought together Maxime Vogt, Mäel Collado, Yan Le Gros, Hugo Monmont and Baptiste Cibat Theil, five French riders skiing for the Swiss brand Movement. Vogt's place in that crew came after several winters spent around Les Deux Alpes and the Mediappiness film circle, where his role had expanded beyond skiing itself: on S.W.A, he also worked behind the camera.

Les Deux Alpes 2016: French contest years

Vogt appears in French Ski Federation freestyle results as a 1996-born skier representing SC Deux Alpes. One national result places him 21st in a field containing Titouan Goguillon, Maxence Gumuchian and other riders from the French freestyle circuit. Other federation results from the same period place the same FFS licence, 2684197, at events where Vogt continued to represent the Les Deux Alpes club.

Mediappiness 2021: S.W.A mixes ski and rap

S.W.A put Vogt into Hugo Monmont's second Mediappiness film in 2021. The project travelled through Les Deux Alpes, Les Arcs, Leysin, Canada and street terrain, with a cast including Julian Caillet, Andreas Herranz, Maxence Gumuchian, Matej Svancer, Daniel Bacher and Simo Peltola. Mediappiness built the title around N.W.A and the crew's shared interest in skiing and hip-hop. Vogt was also credited as one of the filmers alongside Monmont, giving him a role on both sides of the camera.

Chamrousse 2022: Bon Diez heads to Austria

The following Mediappiness project began with footage captured at Chamrousse in December before the crew travelled to Austria. Bon Diez lists Vogt alongside Andreas Herranz, Julian Caillet, Mateo Socquet, Édouard Therriault, Maxence Gumuchian, Simo Peltola, Eleonora Ferrari and Hugo Monmont. The project centred on park skiing and a travelling group rather than a formal competition structure, extending Vogt's film record beyond the larger international cast assembled for S.W.A.

Portes du Soleil 2022: Movement Tribe gathers

Movement's collaboration with the Portes du Soleil traces its ski-film relationship with the area to a Tribe Movement trip in 2022. The territory later became the setting for a French group made up of Vogt, Hugo Monmont, Mäel Collado, Yan Le Gros and Baptiste Cibat Theil. The project combined freestyle, backcountry and piste skiing, bringing Vogt into a smaller brand crew after his appearances in the broader Mediappiness casts.

Paris 2024: Les Frouzes reaches L'Arlequin

Les Frouzes was produced by Movement Skis with the Portes du Soleil and built around those five French riders. Hugo Monmont and Camille Minam-Borier handled filming and editing, with additional footage from Deva Rocca. Movement described the seven-minute project as a mixture of freestyle, backcountry and slope cruising. Its title used the Swiss expression “Frouzes” for French people, matching a French team skiing for a Swiss manufacturer. The film was screened in Paris on 8 November 2024 before Deva Rocca's La sensation du vent.
