Kootenay pass
Overview and significance Kootenay Pass, also known as the Salmo–Creston summit on Highway 3, is one of British Columbia’s snowiest, most accessible backcountry venues. The pass itself sits around 1,775 m at the crest of the Selkirk Mountains and lies within Stagleap Provincial Park, a day-use protected area centered on Bridal Lake.
