Half-pipe

Halfpipe is a freestyle event where skiers or snowboarders ride a U-shaped snow wall, dropping in to build speed and launch out of each wall for spins, flips, and grabs. Judges score overall impression—amplitude, difficulty, variety (both directions, switch), execution, and clean landings—over two or three runs, counting the best score. The pipe is typically ~6–7 m tall, with 22 m “superpipe” width; riders pump transitions to keep speed and link tricks fluidly. Remember !
