When visiting Beaver Mountain, don?t be surprised to meet some of the Seeholzer family as you spend a day in these beautiful Wasatch mountains of Utah. Nestled in the northeast corner of Utah, Beaver Mountain holds its own as the local?s choice for skiing and snowboarding. I visited on a powdery Saturday, and the lines were minimal for the premier snow conditions. Beaver consists of two peaks with a handful of lifts. Skiers and snowboarders alike will find something for their ability at this family-oriented ski area. Beaver Mountain Ski Area is 2 hours away from Salt Lake City, Utah. Far removed from the hustle and bustle of the megalopolis of ski city. A quieter day awaits you at Beaver, old school fixed grip lifts and friendly faces await you at The Beav. Families pile into the modest base lodge to plug in their crockpots and lounge with neighbors and friends. I met some cool students from Utah State University who loved how close Beaver Mountain is to their college. The place feels far removed from the mega resorts of Salt Lake City. One thing is for sure, Beaver Mountain is soaked in the spirit of skiing from days gone by. I had a great powder day at the Beav, While off the beaten path, Beaver Mountain Ski Area is a wonderful family-owned mountain.
