Rain reached Kläppen after the first week of an April 2023 visit from Austria's IBK Crew. Before the weather changed, Samuel Ålander had spent the spring days skiing and filming with Bernd Hager, Luca Pichler, Max Oppitz and Flo Teissl in the Swedish snowpark. The footage mixed kickers with rails, including the park's kinked zig-zag feature, while Per Fernvik and Gustav Johnson joined the group locally. For Ålander, the session combined the two environments that run through his skiing: technical park laps and the work of building a place where those laps can happen.
Ålander's competitive record includes the Kläppen men's slopestyle on 22 March 2015. He finished 31st, directly behind Sebastian Andersson and ahead of Sigfrid Onn, while Erik Lundmark won ahead of Jesper Ahlén and Oliver Magnusson. The event placed the 1996-born Arvika Slalomklubb skier in a Swedish field built around rails and slopestyle features at the resort that would become central to his later park skiing.
The Swedish freeski championship brought Ålander onto Kläppen Snowpark in March 2017. He finished 12th in the men's slopestyle classification, with Calle Eneflö immediately ahead of him and Jerry Öijer immediately behind. Oliwer Magnusson won the event, followed by Jesper Tjäder and Hugo Burvall. The result came during Ålander's FIS years in both slopestyle and big air, before his public ski output became increasingly centred on park edits and collaborative filming.
In 2019, Ålander and Andrey Anufriev skied together at Snowpark Kaunertal for the first episode of TWOOWT Laps. Aleksey Bogatyrev handled the filming and edit, while Ålander also supplied aerial footage. The episode established a recurring travelling format for TWOOWT, pairing its riders with park locations outside their home terrain. During the same period, Ålander's own TWOOWT SAM series placed him on the MAKRO ski in Kläppen, Stöten and Hintertux.
December 2019 gave Ålander and Albin Hag a usable window in Sälen after a Swedish early winter marked by rain and wind. Hag filmed and cut their preseason edit there while the snow was in better condition. During the following summer Ålander also travelled to Les Deux Alpes for the first time, skiing the French park with footage gathered around the Afterjam Collective. By the 2020/21 winter his season edit combined jumps, rails and street footage with contributions from multiple filmers.
The Austrian IBKrew reached Kläppen in spring 2022 for two weeks with Ålander, Max Oppitz, Bernd Hager and Luca Pichler. Their cameras also picked up Johan Lilja, Jesper Johansson, Vilmer Lundqvist, Per Fernvik, Jacques Summermatter, Oliver Movenius, Albie Bigler, Ruben Källner Boman, Jacob Lundberg and Kale Bogren. The crew stayed at Ålander's house and skied his jib garden as well as the resort. A second Kläppen visit followed in 2023, extending the Swedish-Austrian collaboration through another park edit.
By February 2026, Ålander was working at Kläppen as event supervisor while the resort prepared a Swedish Slopestyle Tour weekend containing both big air and slopestyle. The Swedish Ski Association event announcement identified him in that role as the freshly prepared park was being readied for national-team riders. His skiing remains represented on the current Elan team, while Roxa also includes him among its Swedish athletes.
