Sam Zimpfer is an American freestyle skier born in 2003 whose recent skiing is tied closely to Vermont's collegiate park scene. In March 2024, he appeared in the UVMFST project 2 days, 2 weeks apart alongside Max Littman, Dmitri Fisher, Sam Mitchell, Jack Lasewicz, Morgan Frank, Eli Moskowitz, Peter Bennett and Eli Mitchell. The crew setting places Zimpfer within the University of Vermont freeski community, with rails and short park sessions forming the core of the group's filmed output.
Zimpfer also competes through the USASA Northern Vermont Series. At Stowe Mountain Resort on 1 February 2026, he finished 12th in the men's Open Class slopestyle with a score of 74.00, between Maximilian Littman and Peter Bennett. His competition record therefore combines collegiate crew skiing with formal USASA starts in Vermont.
His strongest national-level markers come from Copper Mountain. The FIS results list Zimpfer 13th in the men's freeski rail event at the 2025 U.S. National Championships. He returned in 2026 and finished 33rd in the same national rail discipline. His public profile remains centred on rails, slopestyle and the Vermont park scene rather than World Cup competition.
