AKAMP 2023 was a summer freeski and snowboard gathering held at Versant Avila in Quebec from June 27 to July 2 | Disciplines: jib park, rail sessions, coaching and daily jam contests | Format: six days and six evenings of summer snoprk riding
AKAMP 2023 marked the thirteenth edition of the summer snoprk event at Versant Avila, part of Sommet Saint-Sauveur in Quebec. The event returned to the Babalou slope from June 27 to July 2 2023, bringing riders from Quebec, Ontario and the United States into a rare eastern Canadian summer snow setup. The format mixed open riding, coaching, rails, jumps, tent-village activity and daily jam-style contests rather than a single formal final.
The rider presence gave the edition its strongest archive value. Documented names included Seb Toutant, Ădouard ThĂ©riault - Edjoy, Olivia Asselin, Maude Raymond, Maggie Leon, Mike Ravelson, Seb Picard and Tall T Dan. A girls-only training camp also ran during the week, with the park reserved for girls on July 1 from noon to 4 pm.
No complete official podium should be attached to AKAMP 2023. Public recaps mention daily jam contests and prizes, but do not provide reliable full results by discipline. For skipowd.tv, the page should be indexed as a Quebec summer park edition: six days of snow-preserved riding, coaching, regional community, mixed ski and snowboard sessions, and the post-2019 return of AKAMP as a unique summer snow event in eastern North America.
