Snow covered the streets around a collection of Finnish spots in February 2018 while Joonas Mattila worked behind the lens. Antti Ollila had only a few weeks to build his first Real Ski entry, moving between urban features rather than a standardized contest course. The cut leaned on rails, wallrides, redirects and combinations, with winter darkness shaping the visual tone. The format replaced one continuous slopestyle course with a sequence assembled from separate street spots, each filmed as its own feature.

Ylläs 2010 opens with Flatlight Films

Flatlight Films shot Hello over five days at Ylläs in April 2010. Miikka Niemi directed the eight-minute short and filmed alongside Iisakki Kennilä and Aarni Toiviainen. Ollila shared the project with Antti-Jussi Kemppainen, Pekka Hyysalo and Iisko Heiskanen. The film was supported by Salomon and Marker Völkl and carried Finnish park skiing into an iF3 Europe context later that year.

Bad Gastein 2011 ends behind Ambühl

Red Bull PlayStreets put the course through the streets of Bad Gastein in 2011. Ollila reached the head-to-head final after advancing through the eight-rider bracket, then finished second to Elias Ambühl; Jossi Wells took third and Luggi Brucic fourth. The same season also put Ollila into Legs of Steel's Nothing Else Matters, filmed and directed by Andre Nutini with a cast that included Bene Mayr, Paddy Graham, Fabio Studer and Oscar Scherlin.

Jyväskylä 2012 brings a World Cup fifth

On 25 February 2012, Ollila finished fifth in the FIS World Cup slopestyle event at Jyväskylä. That result became his strongest World Cup placing. He then placed 20th at Copper Mountain in January 2013, 12th at Cardrona in August and ninth at Copper Mountain in December, giving him four top-20 World Cup finishes between February 2012 and December 2013.

Breckenridge 2013 adds Dew Tour pressure

Wind affected the 2013 Dew Tour slopestyle final at Breckenridge, forcing riders to manage speed through the course. Ollila finished 15th in a field led by Nick Goepper, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand and Russ Henshaw. The result sat between his Cardrona and Copper Mountain World Cup starts, while Legs of Steel released The LOSt in 2013 with Ollila among a cast led by Bene Mayr, Paddy Graham and Thomas Hlawitschka.

Aspen 2014 tests the X Games final

Ollila broke his only pair of skis the day before X Games Aspen qualification in January 2014 and found another pair in time to compete. He reached the slopestyle final and finished seventh, behind Gus Kenworthy and ahead of Russ Henshaw. The result was his first X Games final and came less than three weeks before Olympic slopestyle at Rosa Khutor.

Rosa Khutor 2014 closes the Olympic bid

At Rosa Khutor on 13 February 2014, Ollila scored 81.40 on his first Olympic slopestyle qualification run and finished 13th overall, one position outside the 12-rider final. Alex Beaulieu-Marchand took the last final place, with Henrik Harlaut and Bobby Brown also advancing immediately ahead of Ollila. One month earlier, he had finished 25th at the Breckenridge World Cup.

Breckenridge 2014 ends with Dew Tour eighth

Fresh snow changed the 2014 Dew Tour slopestyle final at Breckenridge and created speed problems across the course. Gus Kenworthy won ahead of Øystein Bråten and Nick Goepper; Ollila finished eighth. By 2016 he had stepped away from slopestyle competition, explaining that the format left too little room for the creativity he wanted. He then focused primarily on film projects and street skiing.

Faction 2017 shifts the focus to film

This Is Home arrived in 2017 as The Faction Collective's first feature-length film. Etienne Mérel directed the project, Mathieu Soumet produced it, and the locations included Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Deštné v Orlických horách and Verbier. Ollila's Finnish street segment was nominated for Best Male Street Segment, and the film used Jyväskylä and Kuopio as locations in its Finland material.

Real Ski followed in 2018 as a separate X Games project. Phil Casabon won the judges' vote, Ollila took silver and Keegan Kilbride bronze. The medal gave Ollila an X Games podium four years after his Aspen slopestyle final and made the Real Ski part count as both a film project and a competition result.

The Faction Collective released The Collective in 2019 with Ollila skiing in footage from Helsinki, Folgefonna and La Clusaz. The 48-minute film was directed by Etienne Mérel and produced by Tim Harty. His athlete edit gathered his strongest shots from the feature with additional clips that did not make the final cut.

The remaining selected projects are Hello (2010, Flatlight Films), Nothing Else Matters (2011, Legs of Steel), The LOSt (2013, Legs of Steel), Roots (2021, Bluemax Media), and Abstract: A Freeski Exhibition (2023, Bluemax Media). Roots placed Ollila in three of its eight chapters, including Ruka and Crans-Montana.

Abstract 2023 extends the Faction run

Abstract: A Freeski Exhibition became Faction's fourth feature film in 2023. The 38-minute production was directed and edited by Etienne Mérel, produced by Hanne Davis and Tim Harty, and made by Bluemax Media in co-production with Red Bull Media House. Ollila joined Alex Hall, Mac Forehand and Koga Hoshino in the Japan street segment, while the film also moved through the United States, Canada, Italy and Switzerland.

Ruka 2026 remains on Faction roster

In 2026, Ollila remains part of Faction's athlete roster with Ruka, Finland, as his base. His annual schedule exceeds 300 days on snow, moving from floodlit early-season laps at Ruka to snowparks around Innsbruck before returning north for longer spring days.
